Like others have said I purchased this when there weren't too many reviews so was a bit nervous, but I am so glad I did! I got beige, and I love that they included a picture of the hue in different lighting so you know what to expect in your space. It is very soft and comfy, but I haven't washed it yet so can't speak to how much softer it will get over time. I can say I have spot cleaned it when my cat ralphed on it and it came right out, no stain!!! I have had a linen duvet from West Elm that is 3x the price and can say it's very similar quality, look, and feel! I've had multiple people ask me where the duvet is from and they are shocked at how affordable it was. Get it!
I read reviews of linen sheet sets priced under $200 till my head went round and round but ultimately decided to try these because they had the biggest percentage of 5 and 4 star reviews, and I am not disappointed. Linen is not like cotton and you can't expect it to be. Cotton sheets will have very fine threads at hundreds of threads per inch and will have a super smooth surface. Linen is not like that, if you found sheets with such fine threads nobody would be able to afford them. There is no threads per inch count for linen. I went partly by the ship weight of the package (chose a higher one) to get something as substantial as possible. Linen will have a "coarser" weave, but it will breathe like nothing else - when you first lie on it you'll go "???" but after a few minutes you'll realize the difference. When I visited Vietnam 20 years ago, a friend said, "Don't take cotton clothes, take linen - you'll be more comfortable in the humid climate and you'll be able to rinse something out in the sink and hang it to dry and it'll be ready to go in the morning." She was right - if you feel sweaty in your cotton sheets, these will be so much better. I don't see any need to iron them to make them look unwrinkled, I'm not running a hotel - the soft rumply texture is inviting and just laying your hand on linen will tell you how cool it feels. These seem well made, there is enough size left even after using and two washings and tumbles in a warm dryer to fit my pillow top mattress. They do leave a ton of lint in the dryer screen and I don't know exactly what that implies, but it doesn't seem to take away from the feel of the fabric. I'm satisfied!
These linen sheets and pillowcases are wonderful. Absolutely get softer with each wash. Great value, secure elastic on the fitted sheet, thoughtful design of pillowcases. Yes, they have that rumpled look of washed linen. Beautiful comfort for a fraction of the cost of Belgian linen. Let’s just say it was a better value for the same performance and look of my RH linens.
I needed a flat sheet for the European style bed I wanted to be ablw make this summer. I also needed one that would match a linen blend sheet I have (my dog decided to rip the fitted sheet that was part of that set). After washing, the sheet is even softer than I imagined. I have always shyed away from buying French Linen, because I couldn't believe it was worth the price.... well, I'm here to tell you.... IT'S WORTH THE PRICE!! I have never loved a sheet as much as this one!
Love these sheets. Very soft and comfortable. They don’t get too hot or too cold. They do wrinkle but linen is just prone to wrinkling. If you don’t mind the wrinkles and are just looking for extremely cozy sheets, these ones are great.
